Indian grape vineyards – natural and sustainable farming

The Grapes Journey

For over 6,000 years, grapes have been cherished as one of the world’s oldest cultivated fruits.

From the Nashik vineyards to orchards across Asia, grapes have travelled the world, enjoyed fresh, dried as raisins, or crafted into juices and wines.

In India, the heart of this journey lies in Nashik, Maharashtra — the Grape Capital of India. Nashik produces world-class grapes, loved both in India and across global markets.

At The House of Exports, we proudly bring these premium grapes from Nashik’s lush vineyards to tables around the world — fresh, natural, and full of flavor.

Growing with Care

Grapes thrive in fertile soil and sunny days and cold nights. In Nashik, farmers train the vines on trellises, prune them with precision, and use drip irrigation to ensure the perfect balance of growth, sweetness, and quality.

Blossoms to Fruit

In spring, tiny flowers bloom on the vines, later turning into small green grapes. Over the season, these clusters ripen into juicy bunches of green, red, or black grapes, each variety with its own taste and texture.

Harvesting

From December to April, grapes are harvested in Nashik. Skilled farmers handpick the bunches carefully in the cool mornings, preserving their freshness, shine, and delicate skins.
